Moon Eclipse July 27, 2018

Moon eclipse this Friday, July 27, 2018, in Berlin’s eve around 20 – 22 p.m.
… a great place to linger around these days is the ‘House of the World’s Cultures (HKW), the former Congress Hall at John-Foster-Dulles Allee, D-10557 Berlin. Typically named the ‘Pregnant Oister’, Water Music is on right now until August 18, 2018: ‘Goodbye UK – and Thank You for the Music’!

WM fever … in slow motion?

AFRICA 1st! While the US Government repeats disappointing behavior & action at global level by leaving the Human Rights (see https://de.sputniknews.com/politik/20180619321239315-menschenrechte-usa-trump/), the world is disappointed by goals missed and targets unreached. Senegal shows effective action to succeed in being Africa’s 1st Nation to reach towards the finals! Felicitations! Congratulations! Herzliche Glückwünsche!

Berlin in June 2018

Ramadan is hot in Berlin, with the word ‘BAMF’ mentioned by so-called ‘true’ Germans as a symbol for ‘refugees’ instead of welcoming new Berliners these days.

This is unfortunate, as we would neither have great Algerian, Moroccan or Tunisian cuisine here nor a multi.culture that deserves the name of being multicultural. Let us walk through Berlin with the eyes of Mohamad at one of the Refugee Voices Tours, see https://cafebabel.com/de/article/berlin-stadtrundgang-durch-die-augen-eines-fluchtlings-5ae00bf7f723b35a145e81c3

Berlin’s Köfte Burger May 2018

Berlin’s May is in full swing, with tourists from all over the world, discussing politics and media, women and (very male) burger-beer. Feelings are somewhat restless in AfD times that we may even sound at job centers or the “Agentur für Arbeit”: rejection is felt among Syrian new-Berliners facing objection to their many splendid business ideas, not always well-planned or prepared, but all the more welcome to true born Berliners like #berlinsights :-)

April in Berlin in full Swing

Berlin streets call for major visits to films, locations and parks all around, the city invites citizens2be from wherever they arrive, welcome to all :-) with “ACHTUNG BERLIN” presenting ‘Zwei im Falschen Film’ as a screening of reality-couple between serenity and detachment, see more on https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ieciQHgrlxA …

Winter in Berlin, Germany, December 30, 2017

The Berlin LICHTBÜHNE seems rather silent these days, yet not fully passive. Let us see what the year 2018 will bring in terms of lights, shows, music and, most importantly, people! We continue to welcome refugees emerging from difficult living circumstances, in particular women with their children, sometimes with or without husbands, often carrying the families’ burden to sustain in life. Let us just welcome them in full generosity, having fled unbearable situations. We all remember our grand grandparents and their war- and postwar stories. Living in Berlin today means to be part of several generations without any war, let alone without hunger. Thank You world!
